The summer schedule will begin at midnight tonight. You can click here or on the program guide menu item on the left to view the new schedule. We have a lot of new and exciting shows for you this summer, so be sure to stay tuned. This Sunday will be our first community show with Andy. Here is a quick outline. The show this Sunday's theme: Food - the vital community connection

Jenn Kivlin, SHARE Food Distribution Program (Self-Help And Resource Exchange; nonprofit, nonsubsidized, bulk food distribution program; no give aways; families pay and do community service in exchange for fresh food boxes)
Polly Hieser, 651-3226 (Seven Springs Farm) (community-supported agriculture farm, Floyd)

Megan Foster, Slowfoods (movement counterforce to MacDonalds, et al.)
Tammy Lemons, Backpack for Kids program (on weekends, provides youngsters who are on free lunches at school with a backpack of food to carry them through the weekend) |

I know it’s been a while since I've posted anything new about the transmitter project update. But it's mostly due to two things: 1, I didn't want to distract people from thinking about Radiothon and 2, there hasn't been much going on. |

Saves the Day will be on tour with Alkaline Trio until May 16th, and then begin work on their new album, Daybreak, expected later this year. |

This past week was a good one for concerts in Blacksburg. The Lantern in particular managed to grab two larger acts in a row on Wednesday and Thursday, and I had the good fortune to be able to attend both.
