Written by Anh Ngo, WUVT General Manager
Hello WUVT community on the internet,

As of 11:56PM, we have a total pledge donation of $7,362.30!  Great job and thank you to everyone. Tomorrow, we will finally be having a remote outside of Moe's from 10-5PM with another one in the same spot later in the evening which will also be a bake sale.

Tomorrow is also WUVT's 63rd birthday! In celebration, we are having a show in conjunction with Third Eye Productions, featuring hip hop group Lyrics Born.  The show will take place at Awful Arthur's in downtown Blacksburg at 9PM.  The Facebook even can be found here.

Here are some great shows coming up that you can donate to in case you haven't done so already.

7-9AM The Birds and the Bees: The New River Sampler brings you signs of Spring and songs of pollination, germination, regeneration and inspiration.

3:30-5PM Our Band Could Be Your Wife: The JFK Memorial Cat brings this special edition: Sailors are married to the sea, Matthew Modine is married to the mob, and these bands are married to themselves.  Tune in for the weddees you know as well as the ones you don't.

7-9PM We are living in a material world: Scenesters. Hipsters. Sneakers. Blogs. says "we all love cars, bling, and sweet cribs but  not to the extent of the artists who write about it.  Two hours of materialistic bliss.

The number again to donate is 540-231-9888.  Don't forget you can find the entire program guide and also donate online at www.wuvt.vt.edu.

THANKS!

Radiothon Recap: Day 3
Written by Anh Ngo, WUVT General Manager
All I can say right now, is WOW!! At 11:45PM, we have a grand total pledge of $5,305.32.  This is amazing and I think it's a new record for the station. Thank you to all of our DJs and a HUGE thank you to our donors so far.  We are loving the support!

If you haven't donated, don't worry! There are four more days of Radiothon, complete with programming 24/7, so it's more than enough time for you to donate on our secure website at www.wuvt.vt.edu or by calling in at 540-231-9888!

Some shows to look forward to tomorrow:

9-12PM Workin Hard for the Money: Rosalie brings you songs about underrated jobs.

3:30-5PM Dragons, Burgers and Lemonade: The Eddie Murphy Show brings you songs with lyrics that include the words Burgers, Lemonade and Dragons.

7-9PM Funk Can Do Anything: Phelonius Funk says funk can heal, funk has the power to move, and also remove.  Funk can walk your dog and take care of your kids.

9-12AM A New Wave of Soul: The Rare Groove will follow the evolution of 'some' of the modern day soul resurgence via Desco, Soul Fire and Daptone labels.

For our entire program guide, please visit our website here.

Again, our remote is canceled tomorrow due to bad weather.  We'll be back Friday in front of Moe's with a remote from 10-5pm AND later that evening, an all-nighter remote/bake sale starting at 10PM.

THANK YOU!

-Anh Ngo
