Tech Talk, the 30-minute news show during the Sunday talk block, is being restructured! We'll be featuring more updates on campus and community events, spotlight on campus organizations, interviews (such as Oct.25th's interview with Creigh Deeds), in addition to our basic news coverage. We'll also be posting each Sunday's show here on WUVT.vt.edu. So... enjoy the first installment of the fall semester! www.wuvt.vt.edu/media/news11-1.mp3 |

Wooviteers We have less than 2 hours left until Radiothon ends. It's been a crazy week for us all here at WUVT-FM, but life at the station was lively and well. I hope you all enjoyed WUVT's first Radiothon under 6.5 kiloWatts. As of 10:27pm Sunday we have raised well over $8,000 in pledges. Thank you all for keeping WUVT-FM broadcasting for another year. This will definitely be one to remember. If you still need to pick up your premiums or pay your pledge please visit the station during business hours (Monday - Friday 10am - 5pm) or mail them to 350 Squires Student Center. Any questions should be directed to our office: (540) 231-9880 or

As of 10:25pm Wednesday night we have accumulated $2,630 in pledged donations. This number almost doubles our total for Radiothon. Tell your friends and family to listen in and donate all this week. We need everyone to pitch in a little bit. Tomorrow's schedule is packed with amazing shows. Some highlights to tune in for:
Ian McGlumphy's "Music to Make You Stagger" dubstep from 9am-12pm Thompson & Thomson's "Klezmer" music from 5-7pm Len Comaratta's "West Coast Psychedelia" from 9-12pm
This is the first Radiothon broadcasted at 6.5 kilowatts, so let's make it really count. WUVT is reaching further than ever before. Make sure to take time this week and "fuel the revolution" by donating to the greatest radio station in the world, WUVT-FM. |
