We have a Radiothon Hip-Hop show scheduled for April 11th at Attitudes. More information on the show can be found at http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/event.php?eid=66846072675 . WUVT is sponsoring the upcoming show with Fever to Sing featuring Themselves, Pnuma Trio, and Damn RIght show happening at the Lantern on April 8th. More information can be found at http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/event.php?eid=58419881727&ref=ts The pledge premiums this year will be as follows: $15 - Premium CD Here is a letter from our general manager regarding Radiothon. It is that time again, but this time it is bigger than ever! Radiothon is here starting midnight Monday April 6th and running through midnight Sunday April 12th. Before I get any further, I would like to thank everyone who was able to pledge during last Radiothon to make it the best fundraiser we have had to date. You are the reason that WUVT has been able to stay Radio for Everyone for over 60 years. You are the reason that we are able to push for more community involvement and student training. You are the only reason that we can dream as big as moving our transmitter up to Price Mountain to increase our power from 3 to 6.5 kilowatts. This semester is our chance to make this dream a reality with the support of listeners like you. We are moving out of the comfort zone of Virginia Tech funded electricity available through our current Lee Hall location. With this move we will need to raise an additional $7,500 each year, but we are confident that this is more than a possibility. This is the year for us to define WUVT as the NRV radio station for quality programming. We are excited to broaden this reach to include everyone connected in our live stream available at www.wuvt.vt.edu. Our new website is a push to give you more information, local news and events along with a massively updated WOOVE online magazine. |
