WUVT to Operate at Reduced Power Starting Sunday
Written by John Kayrouz

Greetings fellow Wooviteers.  We are still scheduled to have our new "beast-of-a transmitter" up and running on Price Mountain by early June. However, Lee Hall, our current broadcast location, is about to undergo renovations.  WUVT was originally scheduled to leave Lee in early June, but, due to unforeseen events, is now forced to leave the location by Sunday, May 17.

Because of these unfortunate occurrences, WUVT will be transmitting at reduced power starting Sunday, May 17 up until our Price Mountain location is ready to broadcast at a whooping 6.5 Kilowatts.  Our broadcast range will be significantly reduced during this time.  Unfortunately, this period may last for up to four weeks.

You can still listen to the WUVT online stream with no effect from the power reduction here .  Any questions should be directed to our phone line, 540-231-9880, or to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Again, we apologize for this unexpected event.  WUVT will be pulling some late hours in order get our Price Mountain transmitter working early June.  Hold in there friends.

Radiothon Lives On!
Written by Jared Thomson

We have been thanking you all week, and it looks like the trend will continue as long as the pledges do.  We have still been receiving pledges through the last few days, and we are overjoyed to make a new announcement.

We have reached a grand total of $12368.10!!

Spring semester is usually seen as the slower of the semesters, but you have completely destroyed that theory.  We have labeled all of the outgoing shipments of premiums, and we will send them all out next Wednesday.  Remember that you can swing by between 12-5pm Monday through Frday to pick up your premiums.  Here is another quick reminder that we will get a new shipment of t-shirts next Wednesday, so if you are looking for a different color or size, make sure to swing by next week.

WUVT is Radio for Everyone.  You all have done your part to keep it that way.  Our radio hat is off to you.

Radiothon Complete!
Written by Jared Thomson

We have finished out Radiothon with just over $11,000 in pledged donations!

The success of this week and the continued operation of this station is all thanks to our generous listening audience.  We still had pledges trickling in through the wee hours of the morning.  Many of our beloved DJs were having their final Radiothon shows this semester, and this is a perfect way for them to make their show finale.

We will be working hard to ship out the premiums in a timely manner over the next couple of weeks.  You are always welcome to stop by our studio at 350 Squires student center to pick up your premiums between 12-5pm Monday - Friday.

Coming from every DJ that stayed up from 4-7am, worked consecutive hours at the remote in the cold and gave up on the idea of sleep for the week of Radiothon, we want to thank the WUVT listening community for everything you have given.  Stay tuned!
