2nd Annual Woove Literary Contest
Theme: Finding Solace Through Music

The Woove, WUVT-FM's online music, arts and culture magazine, is pleased to announce
the Second Annual Woove Literary Contest. The contest is being held in partnership with
the Silhouette literary magazine. This year's theme is "Finding Solace Through Music."

We are expanding the categories this year! Entries will be accepted in four categories: poetry, fiction, nonfiction and drama.

Submissions will be accepted via e-mail to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it Deadline for submissions is midnight, Friday, April 30, 2010.

Winners of the contest will be announced on WUVT-FM and the Woove Web site, located
at http://www.wuvt.vt.edu/WOOVE/, in early May. Winning contest entries will be published
on the Woove Web site. Prizes will be awarded to the first place entry in each category, which
will include WUVT-FM promotional items and gift certificates to local businesses.

Rules:
Submissions must be related to the musical theme.
Virginia Tech undergraduate and graduate students are eligible to submit work.
Only one submission per person.
Poetry submissions cannot exceed five pages.
Fiction and nonfiction submissions cannot exceed twenty pages.
Drama submissions cannot exceed forty pages.
Any submissions sent after midnight on April 30, 2010 will not be considered.
