When I walked into The Lyric last Wednesday night I knew I was going to see one of the most anticipated films of the year.Among a packed house, I took my seat in the balcony, and anxiously waited for Slumdog Millionaire to begin.
The Academy Awards are coming up this Sunday, and even though no one really cares (nor should they) who wins what at Hollywood’s biggest circle jerk, the event is capping off a run of particularly strong movies that ended 2008.
