Synth pop band The Mystery Jets released Serotonin from Rough Trade Records on July 6th. You can hear a live track from The Serotonin Sessions at www.roughtraderecords.com. Lo-fi Brooklyn artist Tim Fite’s track “We Didn’t Warn You” is available for listen at www.anti.com. He released ninth album Under the Table Tennis earlier in 2010. Rock band Tapes ’n Tapes will tour the Midwest starting in July and ending September 11th in Duluth, Minnesota. Bryan Ferry from Roxy Music will release his new album Olympia on October 25th from Virgin Records. The single “You Can Dance” will be released August 9th. TV on the Radio guitarist and well-known record producer Dave Sitek will release his solo record under his alias “Maximum Balloon”, August 24th from Interscope Records. Nick Cave’s new band Grinderman will release their second studio album, Grinderman 2, from Anti- on September 14th. You can view the teaser trailers for the album at www.anti.com. Blonde Redhead will release a third album, titled Penny Sparkle, off 4AD on September 14th. You can hear the album’s opener “Here Sometimes” at www.blonderedhead.com. The band will tour in Europe throughout September. Psychedelic pop bands The Flaming Lips and Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti will tour together in North America starting in September. The first show will occur September 17th in St. Louis, Missouri and the last show will occur in Oakland, California on October 1st.
