THE STROKES FRONTMAN JULIAN CASABLANCAS STATED IN A RECENT BBC INTERVIEW THE BAND IS RECORDING THEIR FOURTH ALBUM, WHICH SHOULD BE RELEASED IN MARCH.

INSTRUMENTAL DUO RATATAT ANNOUNCED THEIR FALL TOUR DATES.  THE TOUR WILL START IN NEW YORK ON JULY 17TH AND THE GROUP WILL TOUR UNTIL OCTOBER 8TH.

 M.I.A.'s new album /\/\/\Y/\ is out July 13 off N.E.E.T./Interscope Records. Listen to it in its entirety on M.I.A.'s MySpace.

 Shannon Stephens, once in a band with Sufjan Stevens called Marzuki, is re-releasing her 2000 self-titled solo debut, off of Stevens's label, Asthmatic Kitty, on July 20. It has been co-produced with Stevens and includes new artwork and two previously unreleased tracks.

 Latitude Festival will take place July 15-18 in Southwold, England. The line-up includes Belle and Sebastian, Vampire Weekend, the National, Dirty Projectors, the xx, Grizzly Bear, Girls, Crystal Castles, Jonsi, Spoon, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Yeasayer, Florence and the Machine, Here We Go Magic, Frightened Rabbit, School of Seven Bells, Wild Beasts, Black Mountain, Jamie Lidell, the Antlers, the Big Pink, and These New Puritans.
