GET INVOLVED

WUVT, founded by students in 1948, has launched many careers in broadcasting (both on-air and behind the scenes). Alumni who have pursued non-broadcasting careers report that WUVT helped instill fundamental skills in critical thinking, financial management, leadership, engineering, project planning and many other areas. Over the span of WUVT's many years, the station has contributed to the student life experiences of literally thousands of Virginia Tech Students.

Members receive hands-on training equivocal to that of 'real world' experience. Students hold positions in management, public relations, promotion, production, on-air talent, news, business, sales, information systems, library, engineering and special events.

WUVT staff and DJs come from many diverse backgrounds and academic majors. Academic majors from every college are represented.
