WUVT is known to be Virginia Tech's student-run radio station, but the alumni that spend countless hours making WUVT the radio powerhouse that the NRV knows and loves. One of which, Matt Nowinski, a professor in the department of mechanical engineering, has returned to Virginia Tech to teach and (more importantly) host a weekly show! Dr. Grind of Dr. Grind's Office Hours is an icon among students and faculty at Virginia Tech, not to mention an excellent DJ!

WUVT is home to a number of iconic shows, but we can't forget about the students, faculty, and radio lovers who spend countless hours planning shows, finding music, and interacting with listeners. One of which, Bill Wright, has held a show with WUVT for nearly a quarter century! Billygoat of Billygoats Hoe Down, is an icon within the walls of the station, and an excellent DJ.
