J Mascis - What Do We Do Now?

Although J Mascis' new album is almost Indistinguishable from all of his other solo albums, that's not necessarily a bad thing. There's worse things in the world than sounding like J Mascis, but that doesn't even approach anything resembling new ground. Although littered with cool guitar solos and tasteful songwriting (as usual), What Do We Do Now doesn't leave a lasting impression.

Sleater-Kinney - Little Rope
Label: Loma Vista Genre: Grrrl Alt Rock For fans of: Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Vivian Girls, Mannequin Pussy, Throwing Muses Reviewed by: Kate Stanko
Any and all of these tracks should be played. Super cool guitar licks with entrancing, sorta warbly vocals from riot grrrl legends. Definitely prefer the grungier tracks on this album -- tracks 5 and 7 are reminiscent of their '90s style and other groups like Bikini Kill.

The Spring 2024 WUVT organizational meeting is happening on February 1st, 7:00-9:00pm in Brush Mountain A in Squires Student Center!
This meeting is where our staff heads will share information on current projects, and you can become involved. We have multiple opportunities, including creating art for our merch designs, helping to run the station in our IT or engineering departments, and training to become an on-air DJ!
In addition, we are holding a station open house before the orgy! If you want to see what it's like inside a radio station, stop by anytime between 3:00 and 6:30 on February 1st!
This is the meeting to come to if you want to join WUVT, and are interested in anything that we do!
