Isn't it beautiful?
Not the poster. Well, the poster up there is beautiful, yes, but what's even more beautiful than "WUVT" freshly shaved into a leg is Fall Radiothon. The Greatest Week In Radio is upon us once more! Starting next week, from October 30th through November 5th, we'll have a full week of 24/7 live, themed shows to bring you endless hours (okay, 168 hours, but who's counting?) of sonic satisfaction. Our DJs are prepping quite hard and the staff is working overtime to make sure it all goes off without a hitch.
This semester's Radiothon has a goal to raise $20,000, so be sure to donate to help us meet this goal! This Radiothon is part of a larger effort to raise a grand total of $70,000 to overhaul and rework our studio and station audio infrastructure so that we can keep bringing you the best music you can find in the New River Valley. Your dollars will get you both some super cool premiums and help contribute to our greater project for your best listening experience possible.
We'll have more updates for you - including a list of premiums, program guide, daily updates, and remotes - throughout the rest of the week. You can follow along here on our website as well as our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts to stay on top of the goings on. Of course, you can also tune in to our on-air programming on the radio dial or your favorite Internet browser.
Thank you from all of us here at WUVT, and be sure to donate and support the Greatest Radio Station in the World!
You like good music, right? What a silly question. You listen to Woovit, so of course you do!
Next Monday, October 9, we're partnering with Virginia Tech's Students of Hip-Hop Legacy to bring you what's sure to be an absolutely killer show. We have Nnamdi Ogbonnaya, Newman, and Benny Okoto swinging by town to bring you aural sensations the likes of which the New River Valley sees but once in an aeon of this world. In other words - it's going to be really good.
The show is at Sycamore Deli in downtown Blacksburg. Doors at 8:30, show at 9:00. It's 18+ (but 21+ only admitted after 11PM). Tickets can be purchased at this link. They're $10 presale online, but $12 for folks 21 and over and $13 for those under 21 at the door, so be sure to buy them early! And be sure to mark that you're going on our Facebook event!

It's time. The one-and-only, legendary WUVT Orgy is near! That's right, radio folks, our semesterly organizational meeting will take place Wednesday, September 20th at 7PM in Squires Student Center, in room Brush Mountain A. Everyone is welcome to attend to hear our staffheads talk about why WUVT is the best (and how they had no friends before joining WUVT, as is tradition). Old faces and new friends alike will find something to love about the event, and help share the love of college radio.
There will also be a post-Orgy acoustic show and CD swap at John's Camera Corner afterwards! Bring a friend and a mix CD to discover new music and listen to some chill jams from a variety of local musicians. You can find more information on the Facebook event page at this link!
Howdy everyone,
Welcome back to the new semester! WUVT has begun our fall schedule, and it's full of something for everyone, from Americana to rock to jazz to metal and everything outside and in-between. Everyone here at the station is excited to be back and bring you another year of great music.
I'd also like to point out that have a new section on our website. You'll see we now list our currently running PSAs on the sidebar under the Community section, located here. So if you hear something interesting on-air but can't quite catch all the details, we'll list them here on the site for you with links, emails, and all.
